ORIENTATION SESSION FOR JUSTICES OF THE SUPREME COURT OF APPEAL AND JUDGES OF THE HIGH COURT ON THE HIV ACT IS UNDERWAY IN BLANTYRE

The third orientation session for Justices of the Supreme Court of Appeal and Judges of the High Court on the HIV And AIDS Prevention and Management ACT # 9 of 2018 is currently underway in Blantyre. The orientation session has been organized by the National AIDS Commission (NAC) in partnership with the Judicial Training Committee.


Today, the orientation session has been officially opened by the Hon. Chief Justice of the Republic of Malawi Justice Rizine Mzikamanda, SC. The National AIDS Commission Chief Executive Officer Dr. Beatrice Matanje and the Judiciary Training Committee Deputy Chairperson Hon. Joseph Chigona have also delivered speeches to mark the official opening.


In November 2025, a similar session was held in Salima where judges of the high court were in attendance. Magistrates across the regions were also orientated on the HIV And AIDS Prevention and Management ACT # 9 of 2018 in 2024.
