NAC LEADING DISSEMINATION OF HIV & AIDS STRATEGIC DOCUMENTS

The National AIDS Commission (NAC) is disseminating key strategic documents and information on HIV and AIDS across the country. The exercise started in third week of June 2024 and is expected to end by 1st week of July 2024.

Among the key strategic documents being disseminated are the 2024 HIV Estimates, the Revised National Strategic Plan for HIV and AIDS (2023-27), the National HIV Prevention Framework (2023-27), and the HIV and AIDS (Prevention and Management) Act #9 of 2018.

The dissemination targets participants from the District AIDS Coordination Committee, which comprise of hospital staff and district-based implementing partners in HIV interventions.

The initiative will enhance knowledge of relevant strategic interventions for prevention of further spread of HIV infections and sustaining the gains that have been made in the national response to HIV and AIDS.

“Through this initiative, the Commission is calling for concerted efforts from all stakeholders, in running with the global and national goal of ending AIDS as a public health threat by 2030”. Dr. Beatrice Matanje_NAC Chief Executive Officer
